Parts Technician

Position Summary

The Parts Technician will report to the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Superintendent and is responsible for all issuance, inventory, and tracking of parts within the Camp Hill, PA Service Center.  This includes effectively managing the day-to-day relationships with specific vendors and suppliers, ensuring that Vantage’s Brand Promise is met by the Service Center at all times and that our core values are reflected in our operating decisions, practices, policies, and actions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Categorize parts inventory for effective issuance and tracking
  • Manage parts inventory to ensure accurate min/max levels and on-demand stock are maintained
  • Perform regular, detailed inventory counts and recordkeeping
  • Accurately process paperwork and data entry using proprietary software package
  • Perform professional negotiations and communications with vendors and suppliers
  • Perform functions within the “purchase cycle” to include: Request, Quote, Approve, Purchase, Receipt and Invoice

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Strong math skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Must be able to work a rotating shift with variable hours


  • Post-secondary degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Inventory control and CMMS experience is preferred
  • Accounting or Bookkeeping experience is preferred
  • Maintenance experience is preferred
